The Ambassador of Mauritania handed over a copy of his credentials to the RA Deputy Foreign Minister

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Republic of Armenia, Mohamed Mahmoud Dahi (residence: Moscow), handed over a copy of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.

Welcoming the Mauritanian government's decision to accredit an ambassador to Armenia, the Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Dahi on his appointment and wished him success in fulfilling his essential mission. In turn, thanking for the good wishes, the ambassador expressed his commitment to making all efforts to establish and expand relations and cooperation between Armenia and Mauritania in various fields of mutual interest.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in education, science, culture, and various economic sectors. From this point of view, the expansion of the bilateral legal contract field and the implementation of mutual visits and meetings were highlighted. It was made to the positive experience of cooperation within the framework of international organizations (UN, FMC, etc.), and its continuity was stressed.

Several issues of the regional and international agenda were also touched upon. In this context, Mnatsakan Safaryan presented to Ambassador Dahi the consequences of the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, as well as the positions of the Armenian side regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the settlement processes of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
