On August 16, around 10:10 p.m., the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire in the Martakert region by using small arms. There are no losses on the Armenian side. The incident was reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops.

The message spread by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan that, allegedly, on August 16, at around 23:25, the units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the border zone does not correspond to reality.

France calls on Azerbaijan to immediately restore unhindered movement in both directions
