Melania Trump sent a letter to Putin about the situation of children in Ukraine. Reuters

US President Donald Trump's wife, Melania Trump, has sent a personal letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which she spoke about the plight of children in Ukraine and Russia as a result of the conflict.

Reuters reports this, citing two White House officials.

It is noted that President Donald Trump handed the letter to Putin during a summit in Alaska.

Melania Trump did not visit Alaska. Officials did not disclose the contents of the letter, but noted that it also mentions the issue of child abductions as a result of the war in Ukraine.
