The White House has announced the confirmed composition of the US delegation to Alaska.
CNN has released the list of the delegation accompanying Donald Trump to Alaska. 16 officials will accompany him:
Marco Rubio (Secretary of State)
Scott Bessent (Treasury Secretary)
Howard Lutnick (Secretary of Commerce)
Steve Witkoff (Presidential Spokesperson)
Karoline Leavitt (Speaker)
John Ratcliffe (CIA Director)
Susie Wiles (Trump Chief of Staff)
Dan Scavino (Deputy Chief of Staff).
It is not clear which officials will be present at the meeting with Russian representatives.
The Russian delegation includes Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and Kirill Dmitriev, the senior economic negotiator and head of Russia's sovereign wealth fund. The participation of officials dealing with financial issues suggests that the topics of discussion go beyond the scope of the war.
