Erdogan held talks with the leader of Hamas

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he discussed efforts to end the conflict and violence in Gaza with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of Hamas.

According to him, they highly appreciate the ceasefire proposal received by Hamas from the mediators.

"We emphasized that Israel should also take steps for a permanent ceasefire. I call on all parties, especially the Western countries, to put the necessary pressure on Israel to reach a ceasefire," Erdogan said.
