Putin and Pashinyan will have a private conversation

On May 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a bilateral meeting with RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which has accumulated many issues for discussion. Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian President, told journalists about it.

"Literally the day after the inauguration (May 8), the president holds the first major international event, namely the jubilee meeting of the Eurasian Supreme Economic Council. After that, there will be a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, as well as a traditional friendly dinner for the leaders of the CIS countries," said Ushakov. He noted that "this bilateral contact will be very topical, there will be many issues for discussion".

"Recently, problematic issues have accumulated in the relations between Russia and Armenia, which, as we expect, will be openly discussed between the leaders," said Ushakov. "You know that Pashinyan himself said in April that relations with Moscow are going through difficult times. Recently, contacts between our countries at different levels have noticeably decreased. There is criticism of both Russia and the CSTO," Ushakov.
