The Hamas delegation left Cairo after the negotiations

The delegation of the Palestinian Hamas movement left Cairo after another round of negotiations on the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

To continue the consultations, Hamas representatives will return to Cairo shortly and provide a written response to the latest ceasefire proposal put forward by Egypt. The proposal calls for the release of 20 to 40 hostages held by militants in Gaza in exchange for a ceasefire in the enclave. Al-Cahira Al-Ihbariya's source noted that an agreement between Hamas and Israel will likely be reached "within the next few days, despite some reservations."
