The commission's discussions on the law on "foreign agents" have started in the Parliament of Georgia

The Committee on Legal Affairs of the Parliament of Georgia has started to discuss the bill on "foreign agents" in the second reading. The committee meeting is streamed live on the Legislature's website.

On April 17, the Parliament of Georgia approved the bill on the transparency of foreign influence in the first reading, which was opposed by the country's president Salome Zurabishvili, the opposition, and Western diplomats, who saw it as an obstacle to Georgia's integration into the European Union.
