"Kazakhstan does not have an Armenian-Azerbaijani mediation mission." Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan confirmed the plans to hold talks in Almaty between the heads of the foreign political departments of Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting that Kazakh mediation is not in question.

"Indeed, such negotiations are planned near us in Almaty. We are in touch with our partners. The upcoming negotiations are exclusively between the parties. There is no mention of Astana's mediation. We only provide services of goodwill, the so-called good office," Aybek Smadiyarov, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, said during a briefing on Monday.

He added that he would release more detailed information later.
