Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the private military company "Wagner," announced today that the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, deliberately arrived in Rostov to carry out a special operation to destroy "Wagner." According to him, Shoigu used artillery and helicopters to kill them, resulting in many deaths.
"It is necessary to end the evil which is carried by the military leadership of the Russian Federation. We will destroy whoever tries to resist. After that, justice will be restored in the troops and Russia," Prigozhin said.
Prigozhin also stated that Shoigu personally led the operation.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation hastened to deny this information, declaring that the information about the attack on the rear camps of "Wagner" does not correspond to reality.
"All the messages and videos spread on social networks on behalf of Prigozhin do not correspond to reality and are an informational provocation," said the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Dmitry Peskov, the President of the Russian Federation spokesman, stated that President Vladimir Putin is aware of the prevailing situation and that all necessary measures are being taken.
