Citing the Independent National Electoral Commission, the NaijaNews newspaper reported on Wednesday that Bola Tinubu, the candidate of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress party, was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election in the country.
According to the results presented to him, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party, the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, took second place, and Peter Obi from the Labor Party took third place.
