The US State Department has appointed a new senior negotiator for Caucasus issues

The Ministry of State announced that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had appointed diplomat Louis Bono as the new senior negotiator of the State Department in the Caucasus.  

In this capacity, Mr. Bono will work with regional leaders to advance the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The United States is committed to helping Armenia and Azerbaijan negotiate a comprehensive peace agreement, including a long-term political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the statement said.
