France supports the inclusion of Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia in the Schengen area

At the meeting of the EU Council at the level of interior ministers in Brussels, the French Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced that France intends to support the expansion of the Schengen zone, which will include Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia. France believes that these countries are ready to control Europe's external borders in the context of illegal migration.
