The White House clarified the statement of US President Joe Biden about a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Biden's words about the possibility of negotiations with Putin do not mean that he intends to start a dialogue 'right now,'" the statement said.
Earlier, the US leader announced that he was ready to negotiate with Putin if he decided to stop the war in Ukraine.
