Turks go to Georgia to buy iPhone

Turks go to Georgia for "telephone tourism" to buy iPhones, which are sold at a lower price than in Turkey due to tax refunds in the neighboring country.

In September, Apple presented its new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. Prices for those models in Turkey range between 30,000 Turkish Lira ($1,600) and 57,000 Turkish Lira ($3,100).

But if Turkish consumers buy the phones in Georgia, they are entitled to a tax refund. In the case of tax refund, the price of an iPhone in Georgia is about 15,000 liras cheaper than in Turkey.
