Putin and Aliyev emphasized the importance of continuing the work in the trilateral format

The press service of the Kremlin reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
They discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in Sochi on October 31, 2022, as well as the previous joint statements of the countries at the highest level.
They emphasized the importance of continuing the work in a trilateral format to ensure security on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and restore transport links in the South Caucasus.
They also discussed prospects for further development of cooperation in the energy field.
