Today in Tbilisi, after meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Oliver Varhey announced, "The European Union is ready to help Georgia join the EU; we must achieve it together,"
the European Commissioner emphasized that "The overwhelming majority of the population of Georgia is in favor of joining the European Union. This is a powerful mandate for the government and the entire political elite, and this goal requires long-term stability and peace."
"I am sure that history never gives the same opportunity twice; that's why we should take advantage of this opportunity and make it a reality," said Verhey.
