Apple's leading supplier Foxconn plans to increase iPhone manufacturing capacity significantly in India, quadrupling its workforce over the next two years.
Foxconn was already moving iPhone production to India, with its earnings hit hard by China's COVID-19 lockdown measures. According to Reuters, it currently has approximately 17,000 employees in India and plans to increase that number to 70,000 by 2024.
