The DPA agency reports that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit on Tuesday morning.
This is the first visit of the German head of state to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian military operation on February 24.
In Kyiv, Steinmeier plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. At the same time, according to DPA, the head of the German state wants to see the destruction of Ukraine with his own eyes.
