The European Union will ban the import of steel and precious metals from Russia

Referring to the draft proposals of the European Commission on sanctions, Politico reported that as part of the eighth set of sanctions against Russia, the European Union is preparing to ban importing steel products, precious stones, and metals from Russia.
However, diamonds are not included in the list of proposed sanctions. Import restrictions apply only to certain elements used in the jewelry industry: stones and precious metals. In addition, the European Commission proposes imposing sanctions against the Russian diamond producer "Alrosa."
