Ukraine activates the counterattack. Russia goes into deep defense.
According to British intelligence, the armed forces of Ukraine are intensifying their offensive in the northeast of the country. At the same time, Russia is preparing a more stable defense because the Ukrainian attack could threaten the regions of the Luhansk region.
Ukrainian forces are advancing slowly in at least two directions east of the Oskol and Seversky Donets rivers. Heavy fighting continues in the Kherson region.
Also, according to British intelligence, Russia continues its "stubborn attempts" to advance in the Bakhmut region, despite being under severe pressure on its northern and southern flanks. Intelligence indicates that Russia is using military forces that can strengthen its other combat arms.
