Germany imports less than Russia but pays more

On September 12, the German statistical Office reported that in July of this year, Germany almost halved its imports from Russia, but the supply of Russian goods became more expensive. The volume of imports from the Russian Federation decreased by 45.8% year on year. At the same time, its value increased by 10.2% to 2.9 billion euros, primarily related to the sharp increase in energy prices.
