Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel announced that Camilo Guevara, the eldest son of the leader of the Cuban revolution, Ernesto Che Guevara, passed away.
"It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Che's son Camilo, who carried his ideas forward as head of the Che Center and preserved part of his father's incredible legacy," the Cuban president wrote on Twitter.
According to the "Prensa Latina" news agency, 60-year-old Camilo Guevara died in Venezuela.
Ernesto Che Guevara is a Latin American revolutionary and one of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution (1956-1959).
