The team becomes Tumo's leading technology partner in Armenia

Team Telecom Armenia will support Tumo's mission to make modern technology education accessible to all youth in Armenia. General Director of Team Hayk Yesayan and Director of Tumo Creative Technologies Center Marie Lou Papazyan signed a memorandum at Tumo Yerevan, according to which the company will provide Internet at a 50% discount to existing and future Tumo centers and boxes in Armenia, with the condition that it will be accessible in the future.

Thanks to the newest NGN network, built throughout Armenia, the Team will be able to provide high-speed Internet for the uninterrupted educational process of Tumo students.

Highlighting the start of this cooperation, Team Telecom Armenia General Director Hayk Yesayan emphasized that supporting the education and technology sectors is a priority for them.

"Team and Tumo have the same mission, but in different areas. In our case, it provides high-quality and high-speed Internet to all residents of Armenia. In the case of Tumo, it is providing modern technological education. By joining our forces, we will contribute to improving the quality of education for the youth of all regions of Armenia and activating communities."

Currently, 10 Tumo locations—centers and boxes—provide high-speed Internet for Team. The Internet will be delivered continuously, including to all Tumo centers and boxes opened within the framework of the Tumo Armenia project.

"The involvement of the private sector in the development of education is as important as the Internet in the organization of education in the 21st century. I am sure that thanks to this and similar cooperation, we will be able to make the skills of the future available to all the youth of Armenia one day earlier," said Tumo director Marie Lou Papazyan.

Continuing to realize its goal of providing equal access to innovative education throughout Armenia, Tumo plans to build a network of 16 centers and 110 boxes, providing an educational routine for 80,000 youth every week within the program.

In addition, the memorandum establishes cooperation with the EU-funded Tumo lab project and 42 Yerevan programming school, within the framework of which Team specialists will conduct educational meetings and programs with students involved in these projects.
