Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of unblocking transport channels

On April 30, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Gert Jan Koopman, the European Commission's General Director for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.

The interlocutors discussed several issues on the RA-EU partnership agenda. They referenced the effective implementation process of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement and the matters of cooperation beyond that in new directions. They exchanged thoughts on issues under agreement and existing perspectives.

During the meeting, references were also made to the high-level tripartite meeting held in Brussels on April 5 and the issues of continuous cooperation with partners to strengthen Armenia's resistance and economic diversification.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Khert Jan Kupman also referred to regional programs. In the context of ensuring economic development in the South Caucasus, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of unblocking transport channels, highlighting the opportunities provided by implementing the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the RA government.

The RA Foreign Minister and the Director General of the European Commission also discussed regional security issues. Ararat Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
