Britain is closely following and highly appreciating the reforms implemented by the Armenian government

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received John Gallagher, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to Armenia.

"Dear Ambassador, we greatly value the continued support of the United Kingdom in the implementation of sectoral reforms in Armenia, and we can note with satisfaction the positive dynamics in the Armenian-British bilateral relations," the Deputy Prime Minister especially emphasized in his speech. Tigran Khachatryan also presented to the ambassador the humanitarian situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to Azerbaijan's blocking of the Lachin Corridor.

The ambassador congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan on his appointment and wished him fruitful work in his new position. The ambassador said that the United Kingdom is closely following and highly appreciating the reforms implemented by the Armenian government.

At the meeting, the parties referred to the cooperation between the "Good Governance Fund" and the Investment Council of Armenia, which serves as a public-private sector dialogue platform between the Armenian government and associations of small and medium enterprises, discussed the development of Armenian-British trade circulation, establishment of business ties, as well as two issues related to the possibilities of expanding the trade turnover of countries.
