The newly appointed Ambassador of Ecuador presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturian

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador, Juan Fernando Olguin Flores (residence: Moscow), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturian.

On congratulating the appointment, President Khachaturyan emphasized that the diplomatic experience of the newly appointed ambassador will further strengthen the friendly relations between Armenia and Ecuador.

During the meeting, the President of the Republic referred to the trade and economic ties between Armenia and Ecuador and noted the current opportunities for their development. In his speech, the president congratulated Ecuador on being elected a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and emphasized that Armenia and Ecuador often present common approaches and principles on international platforms, which is very important.

"Under the conditions of the current realities, the role of the United Nations is increasing, and due to this, I wish success to Ecuador in the implementation of its important and responsible duties," the president noted, stressing that Armenia strives to establish peace and friendly relations with all its neighbors.

Thanking for the reception, the newly appointed ambassador emphasized that it is an honor for him to represent Ecuador in Armenia.
Juan Fernando Olguin Flores noted that Ecuador is always a supporter of peace and resolving conflicts through political dialogue and is committed to making efforts at the UN platform to achieve peace in our region.

In his speech, the ambassador referred to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Ecuador and noted that during these years, there had been significant progress, particularly in the growth of trade and economic ties.

During the conversation, the President of the Republic emphasized the activation of inter-governmental and inter-parliamentary contacts and the conclusion of bilateral agreements related to investment promotion and mutual protection, education, and science, which are currently in the draft stage.
