On September 21, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde in New York.
Presenting the details of the military aggression carried out by Azerbaijan against the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia since September 13, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia emphasized the need to eliminate its consequences and for the international community to respond adequately and appropriately to the aggressor country and to restrain the overzealous and aggressive policy of Azerbaijan. The need to assess the war crimes committed by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, particularly the inhumane treatment of female service members, was also emphasized.
The parties referred to the plan of Armenian-Swedish bilateral relations, expressing readiness to take active steps in further expansion and development of cooperation. The deepening of cooperation in strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia was highlighted. Thoughts were also exchanged on collaboration on international platforms and RA-EU partnership.
