Ararat Mirzoyan presented the consequences of Azerbaijani military aggression to the Japanese Foreign Minister

On September 20, within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi.

Appreciating the established cooperation between the two countries, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that Japan is an essential partner for Armenia. The importance of using the great potential in the bilateral Armenian-Japanese trade and economic relations more effectively, as well as the importance of promoting investments, was emphasized. Minister Mirzoyan highlighted Japan's continued support for developing Armenia's capabilities in various fields.

The interlocutors exchanged ideas on issues related to strengthening cooperation on multilateral platforms.

During the meeting, Ararat Mirzoyan presented to Yoshimasa Hayashi the details of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of RA on September 13 and emphasized the importance of the international community's continuous pressure on Azerbaijan to eliminate its consequences. He condemned the aggressive and passionate policy pursued by Azerbaijan, which undermines efforts to establish stability and peace in the region.

Minister Mirzoyan also presented to the interlocutor the position of the Armenian side regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
