The vanguard group of the CSTO mission, led by the CSTO Joint Staff Chief, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, carried out surveillance in several locations on the border with Azerbaijan. The consequences of shelling in the territory of one of the air defense units were also studied. "RIA Novosti" informs about this.
The group visited the Goris and Akner communities of the Syunik region, where a residential building was damaged due to artillery fire. As Sidorov noted, an unpleasant situation has arisen for the CSTO both on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in the Tajik-Kyrgyz border zone.
"In the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Tajik-Kyrgyz conflicts, priority is given to political-diplomatic methods. "We will not take the sword out of its sheath yet" we will try to solve the issues peacefully, Sidorov said.
